Exemplar Global, in partnership with SafetyChain and Quality Management International Inc. (QMII) is proud to announce an important upcoming webinar on the value of internal audits as a means for achieving sustained organizational improvement.
“Proactive Internal Auditing—The Key to Improving Your Quality System” is the name of this live, one-hour event, occurring on Wednesday, May 12 beginning at 1 p.m. (U.S. Eastern). The running time will include ample time for questions and answers.
Hosted by Aaron Bolshaw, SafetyChain’s vice president of marketing and presented by Dr. IJ Arora, President and CEO of QMII, the webinar will cover the critical role that auditors play in manufacturing facilities and industry at large. They are key drivers of improvement and plant profitability because they proactively identify opportunities for process improvements against customer requirements, standards, specifications, and schemes. Quite often, internal audits occur just before certification or recertification audits by third-party auditors, so the stakes for training and execution are high.
Although third-party auditors are strictly prohibited from offering consultation and advice to companies, proactive internal audit findings are shared with top management and include a deep analysis—critical to the strategic planning process. However, auditing against a standard like ISO 9001 or one of the GFSI schemes isn’t easy and is rarely effective without the proper training, guidance, and tools.
Specific topics to be covered during the webinar include:
- How to get the most out of the internal auditing process
- Ways quality-centric organizations can maximize auditors’ contributions
- Training requirements and resources for internal auditors
- The most effective tools that auditors use to complete their analysis and share information across the enterprise
Presenter Dr. IJ Arora serves as a team leader for consulting, advising, auditing, and training in management systems, specializing in several ISO and industry-specific standards. He is an Exemplar Global-certified lead auditor and a member of the US TAG to ISO/TC 176, the committee responsible for the ISO 9000 family of standards. He is a popular speaker at several universities and forums on management systems, conflict management, crisis communication, and leadership, and his writing has appeared in numerous industry publications. He has a 32-year record of achievement in the military, mercantile marine, and civilian industries, as well.
Mark your calendars now! Again, this live, complimentary event occurs on Wednesday, May 12, starting at 1 p.m. in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
