ISO/TC 176/SC 2 is the ISO subcommittee for quality systems, responsible for the development of ISO 9001, the most widely used international standard in the world.
In addition, the subcommittee produces the key ISO 9004 standard, which provides guidelines for organizations who wish to go beyond ISO 9001, as well as other guidance standards such as ISO 10005, ISO 10006, and ISO 10007.
ISO 9001 is currently being formally reviewed to determine if it should be revised. Following the review process, a decision on whether or not to start a revision will be made by ISO/TC 176/SC2 towards the end of the first quarter of 2021.
As an input to making the decision, the subcommittee would like to obtain the views of users of ISO 9001:2015 on whether the standard is adequate, or if it should be improved.
In addition, ISO/TC 176 has been giving consideration to “future concepts” for quality and would like to test the acceptability of such concepts with users, for potential inclusion in a future edition of ISO 9001.
A survey has been established on Survey Monkey to obtain feedback. The survey is available in 13 different languages, with an additional Persian version on Google Forms. The survey consists of 20 questions and takes about 10–15 minutes to complete.
The survey can be accessed via this link, or the Persian version via this one.
The survey will close on December 31, 2020.
Product Safety and Prevention of Counterfeit parts must be included in the requirements of ISO 9001 when revised
