Recalls are a regular event globally due to contamination with pathogenic micro-organisms, presence of undeclared allergens, and/or foreign matter, etc.
In this presentation, Dr Ajay Shah and Dr Vasambal Manikkam will give examples of the causes of food recalls on an international level. In addition, the presentation will cover innovative technologies used globally and recent examples to assist with the prevention of food recalls, which could end up being very costly to an organization.
Dr Shah and Dr Manikkam will will also cover the types of things an organization should prepare for to cover for any economic loss incurred due to a recall.
