ASQ is administering the U.S. committee to revise ISO 19011, Guidelines for auditing management systems. ASQ is calling for applications to join the technical advisory group (TAG) responsible for revising the standard—TAG 302.
ISO 19011:2011 provides guidance on auditing management systems: including the principles of auditing, managing an audit program, and conducting management system audits. The standard also includes guidance on the evaluation of competence of individuals involved in the audit process, including the person managing the audit program, auditors, and audit teams.
Responsibilities of committee members include voting on drafts of the standards, commenting on drafts, and attending meetings. The timeframe for the revision is two years. During that time, ASQ anticipates holding at least two national meetings per year and at least one international meeting per year. A WebEx option will be available to those not able to attend national meetings. Attendance at international meetings is not a requirement.
Technical knowledge of auditing management system standards is required to join. Knowledge of standards development is not required.

*Application for TAG 302 is only open to residents of the United States.
