For auditors of ISO standards focused on management systems, 2026 will go down as a memorable, landmark year. Revised editions of the following three core standards have either been published or will be soon:
- ISO 14001:2026, “Environmental management systems—Requirements with guidance for use” was officially released on April 15.
- ISO 19011:2026, “Guidelines for auditing management systems” is late in the final draft international standard (FDIS) stage and is expected to be released by mid-year.
- ISO 9001:2026, “Quality management systems—Requirements” is a bit further away but release is anticipated by the end of the year.
Auditors of all kinds as well as organizations focused on training these professionals rely on Exemplar Global to provide guidance on what’s needed to transition from prior versions of these standards to the newest ones.
