Global Accreditation Cooperation Inc. (Global ACI), the new single international accreditation organization, commenced operations on January 1, 2026.
Global ACI is the international authority on the accreditation of laboratories, certification bodies, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers, validation/verification bodies, reference material producers, and biobanks. Through its MRA, Global ACI enables the mutual recognition of accredited conformity assessment results, supporting confidence in products and services and helping to reduce technical barriers to trade.
The organization has also unveiled a new logo, website, and official social media channels including LinkedIn, X, Bluesky. and YouTube.
The new acronym, visual identity, and digital platforms provide a clear and consistent way to
represent Global ACI. These materials also help support communication across accreditation bodies, stakeholders, regional cooperation bodies, and the wider conformity assessment community.
“Global ACI’s work depends on trust, cooperation and clarity across the global accreditation community,” says Brahim Houla, Global ACI Chair. “This update supports how we communicate that work and continue strengthening confidence in accredited conformity assessment globally.”
The new website serves as a hub for information on membership, documents, and the Global ACI Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MRA). The site also provides access to news, frequently asked questions, and other resources related to accreditation.
Official updates will now also be shared through Global ACI’s social media channels.
Global ACI was established to bring together the work of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), ensuring one organization, one governance framework, and one MRA providing a single, clearer pathway for mutual recognition of accredited assessment results.
