In this presentation, we will look at FSMA compliance from a plain language, common-sense perspective.
Many people are still confused about exactly what they need to do in order to maintain FDA compliance. Companies shipping food to the United States are unsure about the Foreign Supplier Verification Program, manufacturers and processors are unsure about what changes they need to make to their HACCP plans, farmers have heard conflicting things about whether they need to comply with the Produce Safety Rule, and distribution centers are being inspected at a much higher frequency than in previous years.
This presentation will look at each of these scenarios, as well as highlight the changes to other regulations such as current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Finally, we will summarize the Enforcement Discretion provisions which have been released by the FDA and their publicized planned inspection frequency for this fiscal year.
